First held in 2015, Create@Alibaba Cloud Startup Contest(Create@) consists of a series of contests for global entrepreneurs in the technology field. It is sponsored by Alibaba Cloud Innovation Center(ACIC), in collaboration with media outlets, venture captical investors, and top-level partners worldwide.
We are very pleased to invite you to participate at Create@ that will be held on August 11, 2018 in Boston, USA. This year, 6 finalists will be invited for a city battle that will be held in Shanghai, China where 18 innvative startups from Shanghai, Boston and Melbourne will be chosen to compete in September 2018. The 6 finalist teams selected from 18 teams will be invited to pitch at the global final in Nov 2018 in Hangzhou. China

How Does It Works?

This competition consists of five steps:

1. Registration. Register now and we will send you a brief that you will need to complete for our first assessment

2. Shortlisting. Based on the briefs received, we will shortlist entrants for the first round of our contest

3. First round: Startup contest. Location: Boston. Date: 11th August, 2018

4. Second round: City battle. Contest among top finalists from Shanghai, Boston and Melbourne. Location: Shanghai, China. Date: TBD

5. Third round: Global final. The top 6 of the second round will be invited to the global final in China. The top three have a chance to pitch, the three runner ups will do a Q&A session. Location: Hangzhou. Date: November, TBD.

For each of round, entrants will pitch their business and be assessed by a judging panel consisting of VC’s, business leaders and Alibaba execs. Final dates will be confirmed soon.

Eligibility Criterias

To qualify for CACSC Boston, your startup must:

The company's country of registration is in USA

Officially registered as a company for no more than 3 years

The company is on the stage before Series A financing

Have a clear business model

Annual revenue is less than $20 Million USD

Travel & Accommodate cost will be sponsored by Alibaba Cloud for 1 team member of each startup for the Shanghai city battle.

Startups wishing to pitch should sign-up by July31, 2018.
