Overview

Scaling is an important feature demanded by MicroService to make your applications more productive and adaptive. Community version of Kubernetes provides HPA (Horizontal Pod Autoscaler) by default, and Alibaba Cloud provided more enhanced scaling ability, such as CronHPA, SLB traffic with HPA, virtual-kubelet autoscaler and cluster autoscaler, Alibaba Cloud Kubernetes service allows users to trigger scaling based on external metrics such as ingress QPS, Avgerage Latency, P99/P999/P9999 and etc. In this session, we will demo how the above-mentioned features can be easily set up in Kubernetes to achieve scaling capability.
