| Chris Tung, President, Alibaba Group, Strategic Development | Chris Tung was appointed President of Alibaba Group in May 2023, in charge of Corporate Development where he is responsible for leading strategic alliance with Group partners, driving digital commercial innovations, and efficient collaboration across the Group's businesses. Chris is best known for his strong leadership in driving marketing innovation and defining new models to build brands. During his tenure as Chief Marketing Officer at Alibaba prior to May 2023, he has led different business divisions to create many best-in-class cases including Taobao Maker Festival, Taocafé unmanned store, Buy+ VR online shopping, Tmall double 11 (single’s day) TV gala, Tmall iStore. He also spearheaded the strategic sponsorship with the IOC, making Alibaba the first Internet company to become the global TOP partners for the Olympic games. Chris was awarded as “the top 50 creative people of the year” by Ad Age (2016), one of the “top 50 most innovative CMOs of the year” by Business Insider (2017), “the top 50 most influential people in the APAC digital industry” by The Drum (2018), and “the world’s most influential CMOs” by Forbes (2018, 2022, 2023). |
| Laurence Liew, Director for AI Innovation, AI Singapore | Laurence Liew is the Director for AI Innovation at AI Singapore. He is driving the adoption of AI by the Singapore ecosystem through the 100 Experiments, AI Apprenticeship Programmes and the Generational AI Talent Development initiative. A visionary and serial technopreneur, Laurence: was appointed the first RED HAT partner and authorised training centre in the Asia Pacific in 1999 built A-STAR’s IHPC first High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster in 2001 (Laurence and his team mostly built initial HPC clusters in NUS, NTU, and SMU) built and operated Singapore’s first Grid (pre-cloud) platform for IDA’s National Grid Pilot Platform in 2003 architected the Cloud business and technology for then Singapore Computer Systems’ Alatum Cloud (now owned by Singtel/NCS) in 2007 led Platform Computing Inc business in South Asia and R&D team in Singapore; IBM acquired Platform Computing in 2009 led Revolution Analytics Inc business in Asia and R&D team in Singapore. Microsoft acquired Revolution Analytics in 2015 and joined AI Singapore in June 2017 as the first employee. The Singapore government has appointed Laurence to represent Singapore at the Global Partnership in AI (GPAI), an OECD initiative. He is the current Co-Chair of the Innovations and Commercialisation working group and Co-Chair of the “Broad Adoption of AI by SME” committee. Laurence graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) with a First Class Honours in Engineering and a Master in Knowledge Engineering. |
| Wang Junhua, Head of Computing Platform BU, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group & Vice President, Alibaba Cloud Intelligence Group | Mr Junhua Wang is responsible for Alibaba’s big data platform and machine learning platform, supporting the large-scale data storage, computing, analytics, and machine learning needs within Alibaba Group while powering Alibaba Cloud’s enterprise customers from various industries. He has over 20 years of experience in research and development focusing on big data analytics. Before joining Alibaba Cloud, Mr. Wang was Vice President and R&D Head of NewsBreak. He led the team to build a state-of-the-art recommendation and ML stack, initiated a series of growth and product innovations, and ultimately brought the company to profitability. Before that, he was at Microsoft, holding the roles of Vice President and Distinguished Engineer for the Search and AI Platform organization. He was responsible for search, object storage, big data computing, and deep learning platforms and frameworks, supporting Bing, Office 365, Azure and Microsoft’s large language model research. Mr. Wang received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and management (dual degree) from the University of Science and Technology of China and his master’s degree in computer science from New York University. |

She is responsible for Digital & Tech strategy and execution for all 150+ markets globally. Shivani has been in technology for 26 years, with 7 years at Haleon/GSK Consumer Healthcare and 19 years at Procter & Gamble. At GSK, she started as Head of Tech Asia Pacific and progressed to Global Product Head for Customer and Consumer Tech. At P&G, Shivani was 9 years in Japan as Digital Marketing IT, 7 years in Belgium in Supply Chain Planning IT, and 3 years in Singapore as Japan CIO. |
| George Irwin, Director of Engineering, SPH Media | An internationally experienced technologist with a solid track record of hands-on product- and company-building expertise. Formerly Group CTO of a listed company, focused on driving innovation and R&D into pioneering behavioural analysis at scale. Backed by an MA (Hons.) Modern History (University of St. Andrews), a Diploma in Journalism (London School of Journalism) and the award of a place at the Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst by the British Army Officer Selection Board. A skill-set covering a range of fields including machine-learning, technical team leadership, cloud infrastructure and client-side product delivery, yields the ability to hold a vision and realise its implementation to the smallest detail. | Phuwadon (Bird) Potithong, Vice Chairman of Technology, Bitkub | Before joining at Bitkub, Mr. Phuwadon Potithong worked at Singapore-based fintech start-up company, as a Co-Chief Technology Officer. He was responsible for leading and managing the DevOps team, Operation team, and IT Support team. His outstanding achievement was developing the Infrastructure Platform system that supports international money transfer. Plus, he is a seasoned individual who has experienced working with overseas partners from Vietnam, Korea, China, and Singapore. Previously, Mr. Phuwadon Potithong had held the position of Lead Cloud Professional Service, responsible for Cloud technology consultation, with leading companies in Thailand such as SCB Life, Thai PBS, CPF, and Tesco Lotus. Personally, he is interested in investment in startup-related businesses such as health technology and small start-ups looking for a growth opportunity, which he usually supports. |
